Hi Deb,
I just wanted to say a very big "thank you" to you, Brian and John. I saw the segment on Monday and was delighted with the outcomeso was my family. The clip was countrywide in no time!
To Brian: My son Tim (who lives in Ohio) is thrilled and grateful beyond words with the results. He was the impetus behind my "Help Me Brian" plea, and he is explaining to everyone that indeed the noise was even worse in person. He'll get to try it over the holidays.
My little 8-year-old grandniece kept laughing yesterday at "that man who was going to have a muffin and really took two." She and her younger brother asked to watch Aunt Mary on TV today before going to the school bus. Who knew how much entertainment one great deed could accomplish??!!
Thank you all againI truly appreciate how much fun it was, the enjoyment of meeting you all and the miracle of Brian and his Lithium Grease! It's so quiet around here, Brian!
My best to all at "The Morning Show" .....
Mary from Hudson
Ms. Bronner:
I wanted to take a moment to congratulate you and the entire team at NECN for the reformat of the station's lineup.
We have long been fans of and viewers of NECN. Your meteorologist team is comprised of the best we've seen (we adore Matt Noyes) and NECN is our "go to" source for not only weather, but local, regional and national news to help us keep our fingers on the pulse, so to speak.
When we first saw the promos of the Morning Show around the holidays, we were thrilled. While it was a sad to see Mike and Karen leave the posts they've manned for many years, the infusion of fresh blood can only invigorate the staff and ultimately, your viewers. We learned that with these changes, the station has received a fair amount of letters from dissatisfied viewers, yet we hope that none of them will take a toll.
NECN has staked foothold in a region that can occasional be very provincial. Many who reside here feel as strongly about their morning news as they do about the Patriots or Dunkin Donuts. Most people do not accept change readily...or well. More of us prefer a worn and comfortable pair of slippers to a new pair of shoes requiring a break-in period. Eventually though, we all settle into the "newness". Some viewers may temporarily change the channel, but given the incredible content, charisma and intelligence of your team, they'll be back. What's more, you'll add new viewers who will appreciate (as we do) the station's evolution.
Earlier this morning, we had the immense pleasure of working with members from your highly professional and very savvy team including Deborah Halperin, John Hamman and super talented star, Brian Gurry of "Help Me Brian". After watching the first two segments of the show, we sent in a question about a small project that has existed on my husband's To Do list for nearly 4 years...yet remained, incomplete. Not soon after, we were contacted by Ms. Halperin who worked with us to determine if our project was appropriate. Fortunately, it was, and your team spent this morning in our home, not only fixing our problem area, but adding a significant amount of humor and laughs to boot!
The help that Brian gave to us was of great benefit, and your team was incredibly warm and professional. Our entire family, including three children 5 yrs and under), very much enjoyed our exclusive "behind the scenes" look at how the news is created/generated and that in itself, was priceless.
Please consider this letter a positive voice from a cross-section of New Englanders that respects and enjoys the station's new direction. We will always turn to NECN (morning, afternoon and evening) for our daily news and look forward to seeing the next projects, artists, and advice to emerge courtesy of the new Morning Show.
Keep up the great work and spirit of what NECN stands for award-winning broadcast journalism highlighting the best of New England.
Warm regards,
Wendy Bulawa Agudelo – a very happy viewer!
Dear Debra, John and
Brian,
It is just over an hour since you completed the project at my
Attleboro, MA home. I remain beyond impressed at how you worked together
as a team to assure the successful completion of this project and fully
appreciate your professionalism. I would ask that you forward this on to
John's boss especially. He should know a viewer's feedback regarding
John's " CAN DO" attitude. A critical error in the custom designed system,
required both trimming it down AND modifying EVERY other piece in the
already custom cut kit.
Without ceremony, Brian managed this
skillfully and John assisted to complete the task without further delay or
reschedule of (3) NECN resources as well as my own time. You are an
exceptional team and represent NECN extremely well out in the field.
Debra, extraordinary effort retrieving the materials in yesterday's ice
storm and working with the Container Store to donate the needed materials.
Brian...so much talent, patience, humor & expertise all bundled into
one (he smells nice too !)
Overall, great new series. You've generated
a lot of viewer's interest and this is the all star crew to pull it all
together for you. Wishing you much continued success and thanks again for
this closet overhaul - it's S*U*C*H an improvement from what it was !
Sincerely and with thanks,
Cherylann Iagatta
